Hello everyone! Here comes your favorite tank, Hideout Gunko Guns brings you my first version of the Spear and Shield tank build in Throne and Liberty. After hours of trench testing, especially in PVE dungeons, world bosses, and trials, I can confidently say that this build is absolutely mind-blowing. Whether grinding in dungeons or facing powerful world bosses, this tank build has the perfect balance of defense and offense. Whether you need to buy Throne and Liberty Lucent for upgrading your gear, or simply want to speed up your progression without the grind, MMOexp has got you covered. With safe transactions, fast delivery, and a reliable customer support team, MMOexp makes it easy to acquire the resources you need to dominate dungeons, world bosses, and trials.

Now, let's get into the details of this powerful build!

Key Guardians and Abilities

To start off, I want to talk about my Guardian choice. I’ve been running with Lady Knight, and let me tell you, she’s an MVP. Not only does she provide immense survivability, but her ultimate can save your life at the most critical moments when you think all hope is lost. Plus, she’s a beauty to look at, which is always a bonus, right? For your Q ability, you’ll want to go with Shield Block—this is the best in-slot ability for tanking. It makes this build incredibly easy to use while keeping your aggro and mitigating damage.

Skills and Specializations

Now, let’s break down the core of the build, starting with the Sword and Shield skills. For my main attack, Shield Strikes is absolutely essential. Make sure to prioritize both Piercing Strike and Aggro Increase. This will help you maintain aggro on bosses, ensuring that you’re the focal point of the battle, keeping your DPS safe.

· Counter Barrier is another key skill. It not only boosts your defense but also provides an extra 5% damage increase for six seconds when activated. It's one of your primary defensive skills and a damage booster, so don’t neglect it.

· As for your Chain Hook, I prefer this skill over Shield Throw. The reason being, Chain Hook lets me pull in adds (additional enemies) and group them together, which is crucial for AOE damage. You can swap it out for Shield Throw if you prefer a more ranged option, but I’ve found the Chain Hook to be far more versatile in trials and dungeons.

When it comes to Provoking Roar, I recommend investing in the cooldown reduction and additional damage boosts. This ability is perfect for generating aggro and making sure all the attention stays on you. Remember, this ability becomes broken when used correctly, doing a significant amount of damage while keeping mobs distracted.

Spear Skills: Maximizing Damage

When transitioning to Spear skills, it’s time to maximize both your defense and damage potential. The following skills are integral to this build:

· Calling Arc is your go-to opening ability. It sets up your initial damage stacks and is an important tool for establishing your rotation.

· Gale Rush allows you to close gaps quickly and boost your attack speed. It’s a great skill for getting in close to enemies and dealing with the larger crowds in dungeons.

· Abyssal Cleave is key to increasing your critical hit damage. When activated, it boosts your next five seconds of damage, making it a great combo starter for your rotation.

· Brutal Fury and Vicious Fury will help you increase your damage output while sustaining health, thanks to the Blood Leech Aura, which heals you by 35% and reduces cooldown by three seconds.

Finally, we have Sentinel Bastion. This skill turns the tide of battle by providing both healing for you and your allies, while also increasing magic and melee damage, which is perfect for supporting your team in high-level trials.

Passive Skills and Buffs

The passive skills I’ve chosen really complement the tanky nature of this build. Here are the ones that have worked best for me so far:

· Impenetrable for added defense.

· Resilient Mind for increased mana, essential when you’re blocking and evading a lot.

· Spectrum of Agony boosts aggro generation when using Provoking Roar, which is crucial for tanking.

· Mortal Wrath is another must-have for boosting your survivability in prolonged fights.

Other notable passives include Retaliatory Strike, Fatal Precision, Malice Surge, and Imposing Form. These all work together to increase your overall defense, survivability, and damage output.

Gear and Equipment

For gear, I recommend going with a solid setup that maximizes Max HP and Endurance. Right now, I’m rocking the CarX Nether Blade for its incredible 10 Strength and 1675 Max HP. For shields, I use the Juno Bones Smoldering Spear, which provides a ton of Max HP—essential for a tanky build.

My armor set includes the Shock Commander Set (for maximum melee and ranged endurance) and the Templar Cloak for extra resistances. Don’t forget about the Heroic Gaves for more resistance and durability.

As for jewelry, I opt for the Class of the Conqueror, Primal King, and Universal Power rings for the bonus HP and stat boosts. The Dimensional Band is a great all-rounder that enhances your stats across the board.

Optimal Rotation for Tanking

Now let’s talk about your tank rotation. Here’s how you’ll maximize your damage output while maintaining perfect aggro and surviving long, drawn-out fights:

1. Gale Rush to close the gap and boost attack speed.

2. Blood Leech Aura for health regeneration and a damage boost.

3. Provoking Roar to guarantee aggro and generate threat.

4. Counter Barrier for that extra 5% damage increase.

5. Calling Arc to stack up damage.

6. Abyssal Cleave to amplify your critical damage for the next five seconds.

7. Brutal Fury and Vicious Fury to increase damage while healing yourself.

8. Rising Slash for an explosive damage boost.

9. Cyclonic Fury for the finishing blow.

Make sure to use Piercing Strike and Chain Hook throughout the fight to keep aggro under control. With a 5-second cooldown on Piercing Strike and a 20-second cooldown on Provoking Roar and Chain Hook, these abilities will ensure the boss is always focusing on you.

Final Thoughts

This build is still in development, but after a few hours of testing, I can confidently say that it is one of the most effective tank builds in Throne and Liberty. It provides excellent survivability, damage output, and aggro control - key traits for successfully breaking into a dungeon or world boss. As I continue to tweak and improve the build, I will update you with any new findings, but for now, this setup performs very well. Finally, let's revisit MMOEXP. This is the item required in the above build. Players can rest assured to buy TL Lucent in exchange for these items, allowing you to become a core force in the team.
